When it comes to dealing with distressed exposures, we have been one of the financial sector’s preferred partners for many years.

We assist financial creditors – and their clients – with advice on restructuring, refinancing, raising capital and establishing guarantees. In cases where the company’s challenges cannot be resolved outside the legal system, the probate court often appoints us as reconstructor and trustee – at the request of our partners in the financial sector.

To successfully manage a distressed exposure, it is essential that the advisors involved have insight into the specific commercial conditions in the given sector.

We have considerable experience, particularly with manufacturing companies and businesses involved with real estate, such as construction companies, agricultural companies and real estate groups. During the financial crisis – and its aftermath – we assisted numerous major Danish real estate groups with insolvency and out-of-court solutions. Through this process, all creditors were fully honoured and, unlike many of their colleagues in the sector, the company owners still hold valuable companies today.
